So I've had a lot of friends say weird things happen in their homes, and its always been strange to me, but I've never really thought about it until recently. I've been living in my new place for about a month now, and things have happened like I'll be walking up and swear I see the light on, but when I open the door its off, things like that, things I just write off as being tired from work and classes. But this morning something happened that I just can't shake. Every night I go to sleep with the TV on, well my boyfriend hates it so we put it on the country music choice channel, he throws a tshirt over the TV so i can still hear the music, and he can have darkness. Well usually the TV will go for about 2 hours then the cable box will shut off. Well this morning at about 5:45 I woke up hearing children singing. I didn't think anything of it because there are a couple country songs that end with kids singing. I laid there for a minute until I realized they were singing twinkle twinkle little star, this bothered me so I sat up. Once I did I swore i heard giggling and then it just went silent. I went to turn off the cable box and realized that it had already turned itself off as it always does. About that time my boyfriend woke up and asked what was wrong and when I told him he said he's heard strange things earlier but has just ignored them and went back to sleep. Well I couldn't go back to sleep no matter how much he tried to calm me down, something just didnt feel right...I really don't know what to think so I guess I'm asking from other people that have experienced this.

Definitely intriging..have you ever tried taking photos or video around your home, or looked at pictures from other occasions like birthdays - and had anything strange turn out in them?
And welcome!
And welcome!

Welcome to ISOG and thanks for posting! This is very interesting. As blkhmster said keep a record of odd things. Do you have a tape recorder? try to capture some EVP's. Do you notice "cold spots" in your home? This can be a sign of paranormal activity.
Well, if you ever go back into Wooley Swamp,
Well, you better not go at night.
There's things out there in the middle of them woods
That make a strong man die from fright.
Things that crawl and things that fly
And things that creep around on the ground.
And they say the ghost of Lucius Clay gets up and he walks around.

I just moved into this place about a month ago so I don't have any photos that have been taken in the house, and I don't have a video recorder. It's been over a week and nothing else has happened, that I am aware of. My boyfriend and I are still don't know what to think of it, but a friend of mine is determined to come over with a camera if anything else happens, if so I'll be sure to post!

It could be down to 'new house phenomena' try googling that and see what you can find... basically youre just getting used to the new house with all its little quirks and foibles...what sounds paranormal could really just be normal noises that youre just not aware of yet... Good luck!
