The WWII battleship is permanently docked in Wilmington, N.C. I don't live that far, courtesy of the Interstate, and always stop by when going to my family's beach house, outside of Wilmington, near Fort Fsher, which is also haunted but that's another story. Having had friends who provided tours, I had to bribe a good friend to take me to the "off limits" locations to see what we might find. He was a definite beliver and knew just where to go. We came aross banging of pipes, disembodied voices, shadows, some things that seemed solid until they walked through closed bulkhead doors, or simply vanished. We didn't feel ill at ease, whatever was there seemed to have chores to do, my supposition, and they were going about doin git. After 5 hours, we were ready to get on deck, where the "paranormal" didn't stop. The shi had float planes, empty and locked, but we both thought we saw a figure of what we assumed was a Navy pilot. Not solid but solid enough to see the ranking bars on his collar. Go by it , if you are in the area but I'd go easy when talking ghosts and haunting.

Wow you certainly have been around, I could only wish to visit as many haunted locations as you have been to. I have a fondness for military hauntings, due to the stress in the lives of the living during wartimes and ways many of those ghost have died.
Unfortunately being a relatively young country theres only a limited amount of hauntings relating to military activity here that are recognised.
